Satyameva is a collaborative effort of the Auromir and the Auroveda Foundations in integrated community development for underprivileged women and children in India. The first Satyameva Community development project was initiated in Chandigarh on July 2018. This project, while focusing on integral learning and vocational training for women and children, works simultaneously on the entire ecosystem around the learners and includes adult orientation to health, hygiene and waste management. The project is actively supported by volunteers from all over the country and abroad.

The Aspiration

This is not a ‘giving back to society’ project. This is about creating self-worth, emotional and financial independence, finding joy in learning, and learning to strive for personal excellence in life and in work.

To Educate Underprivileged Women

We provide informal practical and vocational education so that our learners can discover their individual talents and capabilities for use in their daily life and their work. We help them to develop thinking and communication skills to enable them to deal more effectively with everyday life. We also provide basic hygiene awareness and healthcare support.

Vocational Training

The ‘Learn and Earn’ scheme utilizes traditional skills associated with social and cultural backgrounds of our artisans and learners. Along with education, women get a personal space for creativity. The learners are exposed to various skills and techniques through apprenticeship, workshops and personalized training by master artisans.

Revival Of Handmade

Handmade is not just about products but about culture, social threads, history, psychology and evolution and progress of communities in India. Folklores, art forms, and family traditions have been associated with handmade works. By revival of handmade products, we are able to support some master artisans and their families and keep alive vocational traditions of India.
