Auroveda & Access Health Care Physicians, LLC held a fundraiser benefit on Friday evening, October 19, at the Silverthorn Country Club.The well-attended event resulted in $34,044 raised for the Marine Corps League Spring Hill Detachment #708. The detachment provides US Marineveterans and other US veterans with comfort, support, and dignity of life.
The event included a silent auction, raffles, and dancing to the music of Your Next DJ Company. Guest speakers included Major General James “Hammer” Hartsell, who was presented with a recognition plaque to thank him for his many years of service. In addition to General. Hartsell, Access Health Care physician Dr. Jaime Torres, who is also a veteran, gave a touching speech.
The purpose of the league
  • To preserve the traditions and to promote the interests of the US Marine Corps
  • To band those who are now serving in the Marine corps and honourably discharged from that service together in fellowship to promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy
  • To fit its members for the duties of citizenship and to encourage them to serve as ably as citizens
  • To hold sacred the history and memory of the men who have given lives to the nation
  • To perpetuate the history of the US Marine Corps and to observe the anniversaries and other occasions
  • To create a bond of comradeship between those in service and those are not
  • To locate fellow service members, showcase your military accomplishments, and socially network
Project Activities
  • To help military veterans & families in financial need
  • To distributes toys and other materials to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them
  • To provide veterans and families in need, including the homeless
  • To give Scholarship Grants to qualified applicants who are pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • To support the volunteers
  • To support Reserve Officer’s Training Corps(ROTC) program
